Installation Guide
- Ensure the excavator engine is completely cool and the battery is disconnected before beginning work.
- Drain the existing engine coolant into a suitable, environmentally compliant container.
- Remove the drive belt, cooling fan, and any obstructing hoses to access the old water pump.
- Unbolt and remove the faulty pump. Thoroughly clean the engine block mating surface to remove any old gasket material or debris.
- Install the new 8972541481 water pump using the provided new gasket. Torque the mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specified settings.
- Reattach the hoses, cooling fan, and drive belt. Refill the system with the correct specification of engine coolant and bleed any air from the system before starting the engine to check for leaks.

Very happy with the 4LE1 coolant pump itself, it does exactly what it needs to do and the build quality is on par with OEM. Would be nice if it came with a new set of mounting bolts, but reusing the old ones was fine.
